About us
The creation of Barangay Business Association was initiated by the City Government of Makati in its effort to stimulate and promote businesses and employment in all Barangays of Makati. Thus, the Barangay San Lorenzo Business Association was incorporated in December 2004 in compliance with the Makati City Government’s directive. It aims to serve as our community’s vehicle for business synergy and growth.
Barangay San Lorenzo Business Association is a non-government, non-stock, non-profit membership organization composed of private business establishments registered in San Lorenzo. It serves to represent our private business sector, through the Makati Liga ng mga Barangay Business Development Council. (MLBBDC), in the Makati Business Development Council (MBDC).
Barangay San Lorenzo Business Association works closely with Barangay San Lorenzo’s Business Development Council. The Association’s Board is composed of private businessmen and women from different industry sectors, as well as the Barangay Captain and selected Barangay Kagawad as ex-officio members.
Objectives
- Promote business interaction, growth, and employment in our barangay.
- Provide forums for discussion of business
- Provide relevant business and community information.
- Organize effective education and training programs for the improvement of business skills.
- Encourage corporate social responsibility
- Serve as the private business sector’s official channel of various business concerns through its representation in the Makati Liga ng mga Barangay Business Council (MLBBC)
- Opportunities to network with other members of our business community
- Regular updates on business & community news
- Discount privileges on a pool of products & services available within the Barangay
- Priority participation in programs & activities that will promote and stimulate business development
- Facilitation of business concerns through the BSLBA’s representation in the MLBCC
